some ppl think she did it out of protest bcos she thinks breakdancing shouldnt be in the olympics but i dont know leh..she seems to be taking it seriously.

If that was her way of protesting then I must say her protest has screwed a lot of breakdancers from her country who would be more than honoured to represent Australia in the Olympics...

Hate to get too serious in a thread about posting funny pics and videos but unfortunately I think she's just another overeducated person with lots of connections and opportunities. What's interesting is that she became a professor by writing about marginalised groups in the breakdancing scene yet she took their spot in the Olympics and severely underperformed. Essentially seemingly caring about other people but end up taking their opportunity. Quite a common sight in the corporate world too. Smile

i get what u mean. if she was rly not chosen on merit but bcos of who she is then its really a shame. but then again olympics always full of scandals.

I'm also around the same age as her and the only thing I thought was she could still move quite well. Laugh Had no idea she was so controversial...

Somehow with all the controversies in the Olympics, this one seems to have the largest fallout.

The Australian Olympics Committee even had to step in to condemn this petition but that probably will deepen the suspicions of those who signed the petition. Laugh

true ah. the algerian boxer..all the doping accusations esp between US and China..the disgusting river..and somehow this breakdancer dominates the news. Big Smile
