Actually this reminds me of the homemade "sng baos" that you used to be able to buy from someone's home for 50 cents or a dollar.
Compared to the factory-made ones, they had more exciting flavours like sarsi, coke, milo (the best), and bandung.

Oh yes I tried the homemade ones a few times too. I think the auntie who made the Milo-flavoured ones added a lot of condensed milk or sugar because it was so sweet. But of course, it was delicious.

James Lye was so popular, they decided to turn him into a superhero.
Unfortunate the idea was so crappy that even James Lye couldn't save it.
Maybe some of you will remember how we used to get the latest news and sports results before we had Internet access...
