Looks like some kind of sturgeon. It lives in the Azerbaijan region (where the village is located) and it's commonly farmed for caviar. And yeah it's a HUGE fish.

bangkok versions of hainanese chicken rice and kway chap..wonder if they are better than the singaporean version.
the last item he tries, dry noodles with crispy pork, looks very solid too.

I actually tried Thai kway chap before. The soup is much more peppery than our version. Less herbal too. We use flat rice noodles in ours but they use the curled up rice noodles as you see in this video. Still quite enjoyable especially on colder evenings.

hmm the siew yoke looks gd. looks like their secret is boiling the pork belly in salt and vinegar and then drying it in an oven before deep frying it.
