British food has a bad reputation sometimes but honestly almost everything here looks pretty good.

This old zi char restaurant in Malacca is so popular that you have to wait 30 minutes before receiving your food. They also don't sell coffee because diners would otherwise stay for too long!

Most importantly, the food looks awesome, especially the fried bee hoon.

Another interesting spot in Malacca. Everything is RM 1 each, even the nasi lemak or fried noodles. Each item looks good too, amazing value for money.

One ringgit for nasi lemak is such a good deal. I wonder how the hawkers survive because the cost of ingredients alone in Malaysia is no joke.

By the way, for those who don't know, the Kopitiam food court at our dear Jurong Point has renovated and is now branded as a "food hall". I just hope the Indonesian grilled chicken/fish + rice stall is still there...

I'm wondering about this too. Maybe the coffee shop owner is generous enough to lower the rent but even then, the ingredients and manpower required for each item must cost more than RM1.
