RE: Travel and food channels on Youtube - NewtonsAdamsApple - 11-03-2022 (10-03-2022, 05:14 PM)Icicle Wrote: I'm sometimes quite skeptical of hipsterish eateries that try to sell classic dishes as something more expensive, but this place in England seems to do it right. Their remakes of classic English food such as scotch egg and sausage rolls seem great but it's the fried chicken sandwich that looks really amazing. The food looks pretty good. Probably better than most other British food. RE: Travel and food channels on Youtube - yh92 - 11-03-2022 (11-03-2022, 08:21 PM)NewtonsAdamsApple Wrote: The food looks pretty good. Haha I had to do a search too. Apparently it's just some kind of sausage...which is oddly appropriate I guess. British food has a bad reputation sometimes but honestly almost everything here looks pretty good. RE: Travel and food channels on Youtube - totoro08 - 13-03-2022 This old zi char restaurant in Malacca is so popular that you have to wait 30 minutes before receiving your food. They also don't sell coffee because diners would otherwise stay for too long! Most importantly, the food looks awesome, especially the fried bee hoon. Non-Chinese speakers can post here if you need any translations and I'll be happy to help. Hope Malaccans and tourists will continue to support the restaurant. RE: Travel and food channels on Youtube - totoro08 - 17-03-2022 Another interesting spot in Malacca. Everything is RM 1 each, even the nasi lemak or fried noodles. Each item looks good too, amazing value for money. I wonder how the hawkers survive because the cost of ingredients alone in Malaysia is no joke. By the way, for those who don't know, the Kopitiam food court at our dear Jurong Point has renovated and is now branded as a "food hall". I just hope the Indonesian grilled chicken/fish + rice stall is still there... Maybe the coffee shop owner is generous enough to lower the rent but even then, the ingredients and manpower required for each item must cost more than RM1. |
