In the video, I guess when food was thrown into the enclosure, that croc's hunger instincts kicked in but it was just too lazy to get to the food so it just bit on the nearest piece of meat it could find. Unfortunately it was his friend's foot.
that makes quite a bit of sense. it's still super scary how strong that crocodiles are. look at how cleanly the foot was twisted off.
