Inspirations for your next holiday
#1
Hello all, want to start a thread here to share ideas for our future holidays. Or maybe it's just an excuse to post this beautiful video of a sleeper train in Japan that has basic amenities but a 6-star view.

Looks like you have to click on the link to watch the video directly on YouTube but if you're a fan of train rides or the Japanese winter scenery, it's worth the watch.

Both are gorgeous but the second trip would cost at least 3 times as much. Big Smile

Wow this winter train ride is really beautiful. Tempted to plan a holiday there next winter but hope the yen conversion rate will still be favorable then. Cheeky

Unfortunately for Japan, I think the yen will remain weak for a foreseeable future...

Not sure if this is the best place to share this video but it's about two Chinese travel vloggers who stayed in the infamous Dhavari Slums of Mumbai, which was featured in Slumdog Millionaire.

The most amazing thing is the hospitality of the people living in the slums.

I know it's very different from the other holiday videos shared here but it was really an eye-opener for me.

The vloggers speak in Chinese but some rudimentary English subs are available too.
