haha fairprice's charging for plastic carriers still pisses me off. looks good on paper only, no regards for how it actually plays out on the ground.

dun remind me of NTUC and plastic bags..that kind of initiative definitely signed off by people who dun have to deal with their own trash. Angry

Haha well said but it's not just NTUC Fairprice la. All the large supermarket chains have to abide by those directives.

If you read follow-up articles like https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapor...fu-4035166, you can see how happy the government is with the drop in the number of plastic bags used but who cares about what we use those plastic bags for, right? Lol really disconnected from the ground.
