Anybody actually looking forward to returning to the office?

Now that we actually have to return to the office on Monday, I can answer the question in the thread title now.

I'm lucky enough to still able to WFH but I sincerely wish those who had to return to office today a pleasant work week. Like

Nice to hear that! A few colleagues and I were happy to have lunch together again but yeah my office area still seems somewhat empty because many were clearing leave today.

Hmm. Maybe return to office not too bad la.

Haha I'm trying to extend my teleworking arrangement for as long as I can. Not really looking forward to having to travel to and fro again. -_-

After returning to the office full-time for about a week now, I agree with what you're saying—having to travel to work daily is the worst part.

Yup that's true. On the other hand though, it feels like my team is more effective and happier working together rather than remotely. Maybe the face-to-face factor really plays a positive role.

Yeah I think it does. Even in 2021, I was still returning to the office most days on a voluntary basis because I think I work better in that environment. Of course my friends laugh at me la, say I suck up to management. -_-

My company sent out an email to inform us that they'll be maintaining a WFH-on-a-rotation-basis system until further notice. Which is quite good for me and many of my colleagues because we've gotten too used to working from home and are not ready to return full time to the office just yet. But I suspect this arrangement is quite rare. What about your companies?

Full-time return to office for me and most of my friends. The ones who are still on wfh or partial wfh are working mostly with software instead of other people, so I think that plays a big role.
