But if you do visit Italy, just be careful with your valuables especially in crowded places...

Haha thanks for the advice. That said, the food in the video looks good enough to risk getting pickpocketed...

My friend's wallet got stolen while walking through some touristy area of Rome. He reported to the local police but they were completely useless.
Luckily his passport was in his luggage back in the hotel.

Nice video of an all-you-can-eat buffet in northeast China. Obviously not a fancy buffet but for about S$2.50, you can enjoy a huge spread of home-style dishes. Given the rate of inflation here, I think SG also needs a place like this.

Given the cost of rent and ingredients here (which will continue to rise in the future), I think a restaurant like this will have to charge about S$5 minimum, which will end up being more than a cheap cai png anyway. As much as it'd be nice to see such a concept take off in Singapore, it'll be too difficult I think.

Yeah the price of ingredients seems to be increasing every few months. Anyone who decides to open a restaurant in these times will need to have very patient and generous funding.

So the restaurant concept will only become feasible if cai png continues to rise in price...lol then I'd rather that doesn't happen.

I don't blame them. Looks delicious even though it's just a soft boiled egg deep fried in batter then coated in sauce.

The plight of every small business these days. Sigh.

Yah hopefully not but we shouldn't be surprised if prices do increase.
My family is quite big so we usually buy the big carton of eggs from fairprice. Used to be less than $5 before covid but it's almost $8 now. |
