Here's a very...interesting dish from one of the minority people in Guizhou. It's basically undigested grass extracted from a cow...
Can't say it looks very delicious but it's an eye opener for sure.
i like trying new foods but i think that is a bridge too far even for me
here is something a little more normal
very nice looking beef noodles in bangkok, very different from the hainanese style we usually find in SG.

Looks very similar to a dish they have in northern thailand.

Maybe not so surprising because guizhou is not that far from northern thailand.

The clear soup beef noodles reminds me of The Beef House near the Jalan Besar area. The soup looks bland but it's a really deep beefy flavour. Prefer it to the darker beef soup you normally find in Singapore.

Oh I know what you mean by the clear soup type of beef noodles. There's a restaurant that I visit whenever I'm in JB that sells the same thing.

Anyone visited Okinawa before? The food and scenery looks amazing, like Japan but different enough to be unique.

I have! You're right, the scenery there is amazing. Quite tropical but "Japanese" enough to set it apart from Southeast Asia.
Food was pretty good but I prefer mainland Japanese food. :x
