Nice video and not just for the scallops but also the blue sky and ocean and background music.

Yah I think seafood has the biggest difference between fresh and frozen.

Anyone else a fan of Thai pork leg rice? Every time I visit Thailand, I'll end up eating this once maybe because it's such a familiar taste?

I tried the famous one in Chiang Mai with the lady boss wearing the cowboy hat but I found it quite underwhelming leh. The rice was too mushy. Later that trip, I tried a less famous restaurant serving the same dish and it was much better. Guess fame doesn't always equals quality.

This is very common, esp if the brand or restaurant has been around for a long time.

yes VERY common.
either the management becomes complacent or the private investors behind the brand just focused on profit at the expense of everything else.

I guess the Chiang Mai cowboy stall was more of a fame thing because they were even featured on Anthony Bourdain's show. Or maybe they've always done wet mushy rice and their customers like it?
