Animals and nature videos/pics (not cute or funny)
#11
One of my favourite videos about animals because it reveals something about us humans too.

Basically this is a demonstration of how capuchin monkeys have an innate sense of fairness, just like us. Two monkeys were trained to do a simple task for a reward. One monkey was "paid" with sweet delicious grapes while another monkey was paid with the much less desirable cucumber cubes. When the monkey being paid with cucumber realises it's getting a worse deal, it starts complaining.

Send this video to your boss if he doesn't give you a raise. Cheeky

yeah exactly the shrimp is incredibly forceful for its size. the video of it punching a hole in the neoprene boots really puts into perspective how strong the punch is.

if you decide to post anything thats especially bloody or violent, do provide a warning.

Reminds me of a video I watched a long time ago. For some reason, a crocodile decided to eat another crocodile's foot. Look at how strong the crocodile's bite and twist technique is. Very scary creatures.

Wth...was the croc just confused or was it trying to stop the other croc from getting to the food?

I'm no animal or crocodile expert but I read somewhere that crocs are pretty lazy hunters. They prefer lying still in the water waiting for a prey to appear near their mouth.

In the video, I guess when food was thrown into the enclosure, that croc's hunger instincts kicked in but it was just too lazy to get to the food so it just bit on the nearest piece of meat it could find. Unfortunately it was his friend's foot. Laugh

that makes quite a bit of sense. it's still super scary how strong that crocodiles are. look at how cleanly the foot was twisted off.

found a cool channel on yt of a wildlife educator who rescues alligators in florida. in this video, he explains that his alligators are still wild but trained so they don't attack him.

he also mentioned that his alligators are conscious breathers, which is crazy! that means an alligator can drown and die if it's distracted from its breathing.

Amazing! This looks like a design from some video game.
