I recognise LoL and Valorant but never heard of Blackshot before so I Googled it and sounds quite interesting. Basically an online first-person shooter like CSGO but with gear and stats you can accumulate like an MMORPG?

YES! It's the first multi-player game I played since 2010 till now. It's similar to CSGO but the graphics and game feel to my POV is better then CSGO (many would disagree but yes).

lol CSGO has millions upon millions of fans so those are fighting words, my friend. Big Smile
But yeah like I said MMOFPS is a very interesting genre, although it's not easy to balance at all, e.g. older players having better gear and stats being too OP for newer players? Actually, since I couldn't find the appropriate info on Blackshot, I wanna ask: What can you accumulate over time in the game? Like better gear and stats like I imagined? And is there a grind and if there is, is it super intense grind?

Haha YEA that's why I mentioned that in my POV blackshot's better then CSGO, maybe it's due to 11ish years of continuous playing.
In blackshotcoz there are various gamemodes like SD, TDM, TFM, Domination, weapon race, weapon race solo,  battle Royal (not exactly the same BR you are aware of but rather a beta version?) and more unique game modes which I'm sure there would be more in the future. Over time when you play each day there are perks like random gift box when you play 20 mins (0000hrs to 2359hrs) as well as 1x free spin per day in the Gachabox where its possible to get gears/weapons(varies star category, higher the weapon's star higher its damage)
There are also clansyou can join and unlock achievements together by playing certain mission individually/as members to level up the clan level where certain level unlocks the shop to purchase weapon that can't be found in the normal shop
There's also competitive, it's similar to league of legends ranked solo. And achieving certain rank gets you rewards per season (around 1 monthish)
Game masters aka GM would introduce new items/weapons/maps into the game as well. [latest was introduced grenade launchers]
There's more but I'll let u experience it when/if you try it
Do add me if you do

I am a sucker for gacha mechanics and guns...but I can't guarantee I'll be joining any time soon. BUT thanks for the invitation man!
11 years playing this game. I can only imagine how easily I'll get owned if I do join.  Big Smile

Anyone else watch this guy's channel?

He's from the UK Royal Marines and regularly plays FPSes with other military guys. The precision and teamwork is really next level.

Here's a video of them clearing room by room methodically and super professionally on a hostage rescue mission in Zero Hour.

Feels like all the best action sequences of movies like Sicario and John Wick condensed into one vid.

Thanks for much for sharing this vid and channel! Very cool to watch real military personnel put their training in the video game world.

Hey that's pretty sick. They're really playing the game like how it's supposed to be played. Slow but thorough and careful. I won't have the patience to play it like them but it's damn cool to see how pros do it.

I was checking out a new game called Thunder Tier One and it looks like the best gameplay video is from the same British soldier that MooMooBird posted. Big Smile

Anyway this game is another super tactical and realistic game, somewhat like Zero Hour that was posted in previous replies. It's set in 90s Eastern Europe so the weapons and gadgets are not super high-tech and you'll have to rely on sound tactics and communications with your teammates (AI or player).

Take a look at the gameplay video. I think it looks damn cool even though I know I'll be terrible at it.

This game looks great. Too bad it released after I adulted. Sad
The top-down view reminds me of a game I played a long long long long time ago called Cannon Fodder (see screenshot below), except Thunder Tier One is much more realistic and modern-looking of course.
