Yup I worry about that too. Sometimes I'm wondering if I'm contributing to the increase in popularity of otters as youtube pets when I watch such channels.
Otters are very difficult pets to keep. They're socially demanding and require a lot of exercise, preferably a lot of swimming time.

As you can see from this video, they're also very good at opening all kinds of drawers and doors so that's another layer of challenge for people who own pet otters. Good thing we're not allowed to keep otters as pets in Singapore.

Waiting for the day when our local otters go into 7/11 to steal sandwiches. 

Never owned a cat but I imagine this is what cat owners do every day.

I think that's very possible.  They have such nimble hands and can even work in groups.

For some reason, cats always end up with a pissed off face whenever their owners dress them up for photos.

Have many friends with pet cats. Can confirm they always look angry when dressed up in silly costumes.

Well I kinda guessed the sentiment for a need to cull the otter population will arise sooner or later. Sigh.  

Even though I love otters but I can understand why some people may see their growing numbers as an issue. Not just to their private property but to the local biodiversity too.

I shared Aty the otter's channel in the laughter thread a while ago.
