Yeah the food quality really wasn't good at all, especially compared to the standard of steamboat or hot pot we get nowadays. And since most people visited those Marina South steamboat restaurants for dinner, the seafood was probably not very fresh either... Scared

Yah I get what you mean. It was really a case of "you get what you pay for". The prawns were quite small and the fish mostly bones. I remember going with a friend who only ate the already cooked food because the steamboat food looked too unappetising for him. Laugh

Nowadays, $10 for a buffet of just fried food would be considered decent value. Smile

Anyone remember eating these colourful wafers when they were younger?

My wife and I were just chatting about these wafers recently. Laugh We were talking about how nice they were to munch on despite being pretty much flavourless.

Weird, I remember these things being much bigger in my childhood. Either they reduced in size or it's simply because everything felt bigger when you're a small kid. Laugh

Here's another favourite snack of my childhood. Before chocopie, we had Hiro chocolate cake! I remember buying one in my primary school canteen if I had some pocket money left over at the end of every week.
