As a kid, I always wondered how the steaks from The Flintstones would look like. The slabs of fish remind me of that.

That's the risk with eating shellfish. Even trusted and busy places may occasionally have oysters that made me sick like a stall in boon lay place food village...

Cebu is quite touristy and commercialised but I still recommend it for anyone who loves beaches and the ocean.
