It's quite fancy for me leh haha. All the deep fried dishes and curries are delicious but we consider them heavy duty food because they're troublesome to cook at home. For my family that's the kind of food we'd happily pay money to eat.

Same here. Simple food at home but eating out and tabao must go for those "heavy duty" food.

Ohhh I see what you mean. I meant it's not fancy like an air-conditioned place with pretty menus and they just focus on serving good food but yes...deep fried food and curry are better left to the experts.
This is the most praise I've seen Chef Wang Gang give to a restaurant. But he thinks it's not a fair review...

Italian food has an international reputation for good reasons but in my experience travelling there, there's also quite a number of mediocre restaurants. I probably should have done more research before going.
