No choice la...good opportunity for a long weekend.
Some nice discoveries in Bangkok's Chinatown. Especially intrigued by the stall selling raw seafood, which is always risky but looks tempting at the same time.

my personal experience is raw seafood anywhere can be risky. even if it's clean, your body simply may not be able to handle it so you may not get food poisoning, just be prepared for emergency toilet visits.

Even high-class hotel seafood restaurants are no exception. Learned this the hard way... -_-

Interesting to see familiar food like fish ball noodles done in a slightly different way.

I don't think the video covered it but you should try Thai version of kway chap. It's mostly the same thing but instead of the wide and flat rice noodles we use, they use a rolled up version that's also more chewy and al dente.

There's even a local chain selling this around Singapore. Can search for Yaowarat Thai Kway Chap. Smile
Easily one of my favourite food ever and definitely my favourite fish. Heart This 100 year old Kyoto restaurant specialises in unagi. But those who are squeamish about fish getting killed and cut open should probably fast forward through the video...
